Discontinuation of the Halo: Reach Stats API
We at the Halo: Reach Stats API wiki haven't been active in some time, and for that we apologize. Even this update is behind when it should have been posted. 343 Industries is taking over the Halo services role that Bungie has been handling up until now as Bungie transitions away from the Halo franchise. On March 31st, 2012, this transition will be complete, and Bungie.net will only contain old Halo stats. So what does this mean for the Halo: Reach Stats API? From "The Halo Bulletin: 2.2.12" (emphasis added):
"The most noticeable changes will include those features seen exclusively on Bungie.net, such as rendered films, nameplates, and Halo: Reach API keys. Those features are not included in the transition, and we do not have plans to develop similar features at this time."
The Halo: Reach Stats API will be discontinued, with no replacement available. Bungie has said that the Halo: Reach API will only display old data, which is expected to be completely turned off down the road. This effects all the sites using the Reach API to provide statistical data for their site. We will make an update if anything changes.

Updates to the API
On October 12, changes to the API were pushed out. Among them was the removal of the RESTful XML endpoint. The SOAP and JSON endpoints are the only two that can be used now. A full list of changes made is available.
Help contribute to the wiki!
Being a collaborative resource, the wiki is only as good as the contributions that are made to it. If you have documentation, information, tutorials, or code examples that you are able to contribute, please do! Just create an account and make your addition! If you want more specifics on how you can help, please visit the Community portal.
The RESTful XML endpoint will be removed next week!
Both the SOAP and RESTful XML endpoints are very bandwidth intensive, and Bungie has decided to remove the RESTful XML endpoint. The SOAP and JSON endpoints will still be operational. Please switch to either of the two functioning endpoints by next week (the week of October 3) to ensure continued access to the API.
Update: The RESTful XML endpoint has been removed.
